REGISTERED NDIS PROVIDER
Personalised One on One Classes
Art has been shown to benefit people of all ages. Research indicates art can improve communication and concentration and can help reduce feelings of isolation.
Therapeutic Art Classes has also been shown to lead to increases in self-esteem, confidence, and self-awareness.
Fiona's art sessions at Sunnyside Art House are one on one allowing students to have Fiona's full attention.
Each art activity is chosen by the student as it is important that the student is doing something that they enjoy and find relaxing. There are no wrong ways in art and Fiona encourages students to try new things and enjoy the process of making rather than concentrating on the end result. There are many art activities to choose from including Pottery, Mosaic, Painting (acrylics & watercolour), Textiles and Drawing.

Fiona also offers Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT). Various animals can be used in her classes to help relax students and provide many benefits. They may be drawn, held or observed. Animals include cats, chickens, ducks, lizards, frogs, hopping mice, sugar gliders, lambs (seasonal), bugs and butterflies (seasonal), tadpoles (seasonal), wild lorikeets and more.
